Family-owned and operated in Newport, PA, Rolling Lea Acres offers families healthy, happy, and well-adjusted Dachshund and Portuguese Water Dog puppies (PWDs). Unlike larger commercial breeders, our focus is on the health of the parents and their litters, carefully screening for genetic concerns, temperament, and overall adherence to AKC/ACA breeding standards.
Each little pup receives individualized care and love from our family and kids until placement — truly treating them as our own.
How We Care For Our Puppies:
Neuro therapy
Helps puppies transition and stay calm as they grow, helps transition to a new home.
Quality Food
Fed Diamond Natural feed (chicken and rice based), dry feed for healthy puppies. Each customer gets a sample bag to take home.
Clean Bill of Health
Frequent vet visits, close monitoring, and keeping puppies up to date with shots, deworming, and good gut health.
Socialized & Well-Adjusted
From birth, every puppy plays daily at the kennel with our kids, acclimating them to humans and priming them to be excellent with children.
At three weeks old, we take photos of our newest litter and post available puppies on our website. If you’re interested in a specific puppy, we encourage you to request extra photos and videos to confirm the right furry companion for your family. If you’re ready to move forward, we’ll collect a deposit via credit card, PayPal, or Venmo. A receipt will be provided immediately upon payment.
When the puppy is at least eight weeks old, we can schedule an on-site visit to meet the pup and their parents, complete necessary paperwork, and collect the final payment.
Yes! We’re so glad you asked. Both mom and dad are on-site at our family’s kennel and available to be seen. We encourage responsible adopters to meet the parents, interact with them, and observe the love and care our furry family receives.
Yes, all of our puppies come with a 30-day health guarantee. In the rare event that we missed something and inadvertently gave you an unhealthy puppy or one with a birth defect, we will pay for reasonable medical expenses up to the purchase price of your pup. We adhere to the “Puppy Lemon Law.”
Alongside health records from our veterinarian and up-to-date shots, puppies go home with a care package including a feed sample, a bone to chew, and a blanket with mom’s scent.
If a placement doesn’t go as planned and you’re unable to find a good home for your puppy within the first year, we will welcome the puppy back to Rolling Lea Acres. No refund will be given.
