Dachshund Puppies
Our Dachshund puppies are sweet, loyal companions raised to be good with all family members, including children. As long as Dachshunds are exposed to children early (as they are to our kids), they can be wonderful family dogs, especially for homes without abundant space to run. We love Dachshunds for their playful, stubborn personalities and minimal shedding!
We breed mostly short-haired and long-haired Dachshunds, with the occasional wired-haired puppy. The average weight of our puppies (mostly “minis”) is 9-18 lbs. Dachshunds are a small dog breed.
Portuguese Water Dogs (PWDs or "Porties")
Our Portie puppies bring lots of energy and love to any active family that loves spending time outdoors. Bred to be water dogs, they are naturally inclined to love swimming and water activities when introduced at an early age. Porties are eager for a game of fetch and need regular exercise to keep their busy minds and bodies stimulated. At Rolling Lea Acres, we breed two coat varieties: wavy and curly, both of which are hypoallergenic and easy to maintain and groom.
Our breeder PWD has been genetically tested for GM1 Gangliosidosis, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and JDCM via DNA test. Our male PWD has been tested for OFA hips and elbows joint health.
The average weight of our puppies is 39-47 lbs. Porties are a medium dog breed.
